Once again a name change of one of Eilat’s hotels. This is a three star hotel with 85 rooms. There is an outdooor pool which is heated in winter and during the summer there are barbeque dinners served next to the pool. However the pool is pretty standard, a rectangle just a bit larger than the average home pool in the USA or the size of a public pool in Israel. In other words there are none of the fancy slides and curved edges that some of the other Eilat hotel pools have. The good news is that the hotel was renovated in 2011 as before that it had a reputation as a rather rundown place for those who couldn’t afford anything better. It does however have a good location close to the center of the city but not on the water’s edge. There is free WiFi and parking at the hotel. Like nearly every hotel in Eilat there is air conditioning, LCD TV and a mini bar which is quiet good for a three star hotel. The Aquamarine Hotel offers a few other services which don’t always come with 3 star accommodation like the 27/7 front desk, tour desk luggage storage, baby sitting services, ironing board in the rooms and hair dryers.
There are family rooms, triple rooms and quad rooms as well which is something you only find in the hotels with a low star rating. The renovations have really made a large difference. The old Edomit Hotel can’t compare with the cleaner, newer and brighter Aquamarine Hotel. If you are searching for this hotel online you can tell the old photos of Edomit from the new ones of Aquamarine by the flooring in the bedrooms. The Edomit had carpets and the Aquamarine Hotel has ceramic tiling.
